Where your vacation begins.
Over the course of a year, an 80-year-old traditional house in Hayama became this white villa. We were careful not to make it too new, preserving the traces of time held within its walls.
Not a trip, but a vacation.
The gentle pace and curious nostalgia of spending the holidays at your grandmother’s home in the South of France.

An 80-year-old well, and the passage of time within this home.
This home still holds the time lived by the 80-year-old house that came before it: the old well beyond the black door, beams and pillars painted white, and little details that have always been here. Rather than tear everything down and start anew, we preserved what we could and thoughtfully carried it into the next chapter. The well is like a guardian of vacations, watching over the house through the years. For MAISON D:E VACANCES, not making everything too new was essential.
Step through the black front door and into the house.
Your vacation begins the moment you open the black front door. We hope entering the villa brings the same small thrill as emerging from a tunnel to glimpse the sea. It has the curious nostalgia and easy pace of visiting your grandmother’s home in the South of France. The textures of the old house, the changing light, and even its small imperfections remain part of a scene found nowhere else.
Morning coffee, bread from a local shop, and dinner made together.
Time around the large dining table moves a little more slowly here—morning coffee, bread picked up nearby, and dinner made together in the kitchen. A vacation need not be filled with extraordinary plans; it can simply mean savoring the everyday table. After the meal, linger to talk, pour another drink, and take one more bite. A long, leisurely table is an essential part of vacation.
That, too, is vacation.
Nothing to do. Doing nothing—that, too, is vacation. Settle into the orange sofa to read, admire the art and flowers, or drift off for a while. Instead of rushing from sight to sight, stay in one place and live there for a little while. Leave the schedule open and enjoy the rhythm of the house as the mood takes you.
Do what you love, for as long as you like. Time outdoors is part of vacation here.
Morito Beach is about a three-minute walk straight down the road. Head to the sea in the morning or wander out at dusk—whatever suits the day. Dine in the 70 m² outdoor living room, play with children or dogs in the small pool, or simply feel the breeze. On vacation, it feels just right when the boundary between indoors and out begins to blur. Do what you love, for as long as you like.
End the day feeling perfectly content.
The spacious bathroom has both a bathtub and shower. Whether you spent the day playing or doing nothing at all, finish with a long, relaxing bath. Thoughtfully chosen amenities and soft white towels let you end the day feeling perfectly content—a bath time made to deepen the pleasure of vacation.
